Statutory Rights
The following terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Pricing
Books - Our prices are normally the recommended retail price less 10% discount. For some books, mainly from niche publishers and organisations, we may not be able to offer discount. This will be shown on our website. Our bibliographic information is taken from Nielsen Bookdata, the industry provider of bibliographic information and price data. Prices may not be updated immediately by the publisher to Nielsen Bookdata.
Non-books – Items such as stationery, CCCU merchandise, and gifts are priced as competitively as possible. With the exception of the CCCU scarf and tie, all our clothing items are Fairtrade.
Purchases
While we will make all reasonable steps to ensure that the prices, descriptions etc for items on the website are accurate, errors may creep in, and we do not provide a warranty for the correctness or suitability of the information and goods displayed.
If an inaccuracy or error is discovered by us before dispatch of goods ordered, we are entitled not to fulfil the order. However, we will contact you as soon as possible by email to inform you of the correction that we need to make, and ask if you wish to continue with the order under the amended conditions, or to cancel the order. If the latter, we will refund the monies paid.
No goods will be dispatched until paid for in full.
If we have insufficient stock to fulfil your order, we will notify you as soon as possible normally by email, and offer you the option of cancelling or amending your order with pro-rata refund of monies already paid.
For refunds and returns we will always do our best to help – so contact us as soon as you realise something isn’t right,
Refunds
We only offer refunds for faulty goods within 30 days of receiving your online order. If the item is damaged upon receipt please contact us within 7 days. For items lost in transit by Royal Mail we will offer to replace or refund 15 days after dispatch Items delivered by courier services will only be refunded or replaced if the tracking details show the goods have not been signed for at the correct address. If the delay is the result of issues with the buyer we will not refund or replace.
Returns
Items may only be returned for credit within 14 days of purchase. The buyer is responsible for costs of returning the goods. All items are to be returned in perfect condition with original packaging. You will need to contact us within 7 days of receiving your order.
Credit will be added to your online account upon receipt of the returned goods in perfect condition. Alternatively a physical Credit Note can be issued instore. The Credit Note has no expiry date, and does not have to be spent in a single transaction. Your remaining balance will be issued as a new Credit Note.
Certain goods are not eligible for returns. Returns credit applies only to books, excluding books containing a CD or DVD. It also does not include items where the seals on the products have been broken, or the cellophane removed. Your statutory rights still apply for all such items.
In-Store Returns
Books in perfect condition can be exchanged or a Credit Note issued within 14 days of purchase with receipt. Credit Notes are valid for 12 months & may not be exchanged for Gift Cards. Sale items are sold firm sale.

This website contains links to other websites. The provision of a link to another website does not mean that we endorse that website.
Limitations
The website contains material which is owned or licensed to us, including the descriptions and graphics pertaining to an item. Reproduction of any material on the website is prohibited. The website must not be used for any purpose other than searching for a book or placing an order with us. Unauthorised use of the website may give rise to a claim for damages.
