    Hear best-selling author and broadcaster Horatio Clare in conversation with literary journalist Suzi Feay as he they reflect on the journeys we take and the hope to be found in seasonal change and renewal. Somerset Maugham prize-winning author Horatio Clare’s subjects have included the migration of swallows, travelling on container ships across the globe, and his own childhood growing up in the Black Mountains (Running for the Hills).

    For Step into Spring, Horatio comes to Canterbury for a conversation about the journeys we take – physical or otherwise – and what we learn along the way: about our society, our history, our landscape, and ourselves.

    Horatio Clare is a writer and broadcaster. His acclaimed memoirs, travel and children’s books include Running for the HillsA Single SwallowDown to the Sea in ShipsHeavy Light and Aubrey and the Terrible Yoot. Horatio writes and co-presents the acclaimed BBC Radio 4 series ‘Is Psychiatry Working?’ and is a regular contributor to the national press. His latest book is Your Journey Your Way – the recovery guide to mental health. Horatio lectures in non-fiction at the University of Manchester.

    Suzi Feay is a literary journalist and member of the Authors Club and Critics Circle. She hosts writers on her YouTube channel, Suzi's Book Bag.
