History and ICT in the Secondary School

Graeme Easdown's text supports the use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) applications for teaching and learning in secondary history by providing research-based, subject-focused rationales for the use of ICT in the classroom. In the book he considers the key elements of the National Curriculum history orders: range and depth of historical knowledge and understanding; interpretations of history; historical enquiry; and organization and communication. He includes differentiated tasks and activities which exemplify the ways in which ICT applications can be used to develop pupils' historical understanding at Key Stage 3 and GCSE level.
