A Year in a Small Garden is Frances Tophill’s first official Gardeners’ World book – it documents her journey as a first-time homeowner bringing life to her new garden, sharing her key principles for small garden design, as well as tips and tricks to achieve results in whatever space you have.
Having painstakingly saved for her first house deposit, Frances represents a new generation of gardeners for whom buying a house is trickier than ever been before, with budget constraints, sustainability and conservation front of mind. In A Year in a Small Garden, Frances distils everything she has learnt so far in her career into practical advice and a beautiful philosophy of gardening.
Talks will last approximately one hour followed by a Q&A.
Books will be sold at the Talks and online by The Bookshop at Canterbury Christ Church University.
